ABERDEEN, Wash. (AP) - A passing truck and boat trailer spooked a horse as it crossed Highway 105 about 16 miles southwest of Aberdeen.
The Washington State Patrol says the horse struck the side of the boat trailer Saturday evening and was killed.
KXRO reports the rider, 52-year-old Jose Valle Garcia of Westport, suffered a minor injury. Five people in the truck were unhurt. The trailer and boat were totalled.
