ELMA, Wash. (AP) - A Grays Harbor County man has been jailed for investigation of incest with his daughter.
Undersheriff Rick Scott says the 37-year-old Elma man was jailed Thursday after his adult daughter reported having sex with him.
Scott says the man was convicted of a sex offense in the 1990s but recently was relieved of his requirement to register as a sex offender.
The man's daughter told investigators she and her father engaged in sex acts involving bondage and fantasy during the summer. According to investigators she later left the home and told a friend who persuaded her to go to authorities recently.
Scott says the man told investigators he had not hurt anyone and should not face any more charges than his daughter. The undersheriff calls the relationship "somewhat dysfunctional."
