
TOPPENISH--A Yakima man is in jail after leading Yakima sheriff's deputies on a high speed chase through the Lower Valley.
Deputies tried to pull the driver over on Casey Road around 1:30 Sunday morning.
He tried to escape instead, driving as fast as 100 miles per hour before crashing into a ditch in front of the Toppenish Best Western Hotel.
Deputies arrested him and a passenger on outstanding warrants.
The driver faces multiple charges including eluding and DUI.
