BELLINGHAM, Wash. (AP) - The Bellingham Herald reports the Defense Department has told a Custer family their son was killed Thursday in Afghanistan when the Stryker vehicle he was driving went over a buried explosive.
Twenty-2-year-old Spc. Aaron Aamont was a member of the 5th Stryker brigade from Fort Lewis. His name has not yet been officially released. Two soldiers died in the blast.
