PASCO, Wash-- For the second day in a row, people in Pasco say they've seen a cougar.
"As I kept looking at it, it became apparent to me that this was a cat. A good sized cat between 100 and 125 pounds," explains Albert Harden.
Today, more reports a big cat lurking around Road 68 on North Glade Road. Fish and Wildlife officers combed the fields to try and catch the alleged mountain lion.
"Basically we came out looking for signs from the cougar. For tracks, anything to verify the sightings," says officer Heidi Grant with the Department of Fish and Wildlife.
Crews searched for close to an hour only to find nothing. And that's no real surprise.
"They like wooded trees," adds Grant. "They like to be up in trees. This is very unusual terrain for a cougar."
Whether or not a cougar is prowling the streets of Pasco has yet to be known for sure. But at least one witness says he's sure of what he saw.
"What I saw is definitely a cat. It wasn't no coyote, no dog," proclaims Harden.
