WALLA WALLA Wash. -- Walla Walla High School Head Football Coach, Marc Yonts, is resigning after 14 years of service.

The Blue Devil overall record under Yonts was 87-62, including nine Big Nine conference playoff appearances. In 2002, Yonts led the Blue Devils to the state semi-finals.

The District Athletic Director says Yonts is leaving the program in excellent shape and he will be missed. Yonts didn't say exactly why the timing was right for his resignation.

Yonts was an assistant football coach at Walla Walla High for five years before taking the head position.
