YAKIMA, Wash.- For those family and friends not inside getting ready to eat, some spent their Thanksgiving day waiting in line outside of best buy. In Yakima this year, there was another store catching shopper's attention.
People lined up an hour before, waiting for the doors to open. Come noon, people stormed in at the Old Navy in Yakima. It's the first year they opened on Thanksgiving day. While some came for the deals on sweaters, some also came for their promotion, a guitar for Nintendo WII.
"Got the guitar, now we're going to go home try it out and that's about it, just stay at home and try to stay warm," said Shopper Joshua Stamper.
While shoppers are staying warm inside at Old Navy, just a few blocks down people are already outside waiting for Best Buy to open. These were the first ones to line up. And many say they're first-timers.
"I want to get a good deal on a computer and it's my first time so I figured we would get here early," said shopper Ivan Porcayo.
"There's a laptop I want to get that's really cheap been wanting one for a while price was so good," said shopper Ray Roff.
So good, that these people are spending Thanksgiving in line, in the cold and they've still got a long way to go.
"It's kinda fun talking to these guys just meeting them were going to get know them pretty well in the next several hours," said Roff.
"Plus its kind of fun I guess something different," said Porcayo.
Their tents are ready, their chairs are set up, now, they're just waiting trying to stay warm until till Friday morning.
