LONGVIEW, Wash. (AP) - Searchers have found the body of a missing worker of a chemical plant in Longview.
The body of 25-year-old Justin J. Florek was recovered early Sunday morning from a large salt pile at the Equa-Chlor plant.
That's where emergency workers had been looking for Florek since his disappearance Friday.
Deputy Cowlitz County Coroner Brett Dundas says his office, the sheriff's office and the Department of Labor and Industries are investigating the death.
After Florek went missing, workers told authorities he may have fallen into a salt pile and been buried. He apparently was making rounds at the plant on Christmas Day and never returned to his work station.
Equa-Chlor shoots electricity through salt water to produce chlorine, hydrogen and caustic soda.
