ABERDEEN, Wash. (AP) - Police are investigating whether the man charged with trying to hold up the TwinStar credit union on Jan. 25 in Centralia is the same person who robbed the TwinStar credit union in Ocean Shores the week before.
Ocean Shores Deputy Chief Russ Fitts told KXRO that officers will search Michael Lar's Seattle apartment for evidence.
Fitts says detectives also are working with Ellensburg police on a possible connection to a robbery in Ellensburg.
At Ocean Shores the robber herded all the employees together, ordered them to open the vault and then forced them out of the building as he escaped.
At Centralia, the robber held an employee at gunpoint until an officer arrived and fired two shots.
