HOOD RIVER, Ore. - Authorities say rescue crews found a body in a snow cave on Mt. Hood, while searching for three missing climbers Sunday. Rescuers have been battling extreme weather conditions trying to find the three men since they disappeared last weekend.
They found the body inside a snow cave not far from a different one they searched earlier in the day.
A National Guard spokesman said "There was a secondary snow cave that was discovered. Climbers, our climbers did get inside the snow cave, and have confirmed that there is one fatality. We do not have the identity of that individual at this time."
The search continues for the other missing hikers.
