"Benchmonster" Breaks His Own World Record

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash - For the second time in one year Moses Lake native Ryan Kennelly has broken his own world record for bench pressing.

At today's American Powerlifting Association's Northwest Open in Kennewick, Kennelly benched 1,050 pounds.  That breaks his own previouse All-Time World Record of 1,036 pounds.

Kennelly himself weighs 347 pounds.  He started his feat by lifting 950 pounds then went directly to 1,050.  He was unsuccessful in his third attempt that day at 1,105 pounds.
