Wapato teacher arrested for having sex with student

WAPATO, Wash - A Wapato teacher is arrested for having sex with a 12 year old student.

According to Yakima Police, Jesus Barcenas had sex with a female student multiple times, including once in his classroom.

The 26-year old Barcenas has been teacher at Adams Elementary for several years, teaching 5th grade. This year he was a substitute teacher.

Barcenas was dating the girl's mother, and eventually moved into their Yakima home.

He is currently in the Yakima County Jail and police are investigating if there are other possible victims.
