Two Women Arrested For Trying To Cash Forged Check At Kennewick Casino

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash.-- Police arrested two Oregon women last night in connection with a forged check in Kennewick.

24-year-old Crystal Credile tried to cash a washed check at Coyote Bob's Casino. Credile walked out of the casino and was found by police hiding in the Gesa parking lot.

Police then arrested a second woman, 30-year-old Tracey McConnell. Staff at Coyote Bob's say it was easy to tell the check was fake.

"You can really see where they had taken the letters off and re-typed it, it was a different font it was a different size, you could tell," said Raelynn Gallegos, Casino Manager.

The casino manager says they've never had this problem in the past. McConnell was arrested for driving without a license, and meth possession.

Officers also found a book of checks that seem to be stolen. Police are still investigating.
