This week's Academic All-Star is La Salle senior Mackenzie Andringa.  Mackenzie is a state soccer champion.   Mackenzie has a 3.73 gpa, and is looking at attending Washington State, Gonzaga and PLU.  McKenzie is a member of La Salle High School Leadership, a Senior Class Rep, as well as a member of the National Honor Society. This weeks Academic All-Star is Naches Valley High senior Aaron Schmitt.   Aaron is the captain of his swim team and has a 3.72 gpa.  Aaron plans to attend Washington State University where he would like to study education to become a high school teacher.  Aaron is the senior "class president," as well as the president of "students against drunk driving."  Aaron is also a National Honor Society member.  More>>

This weeks Academic All-Star is East Valley senior Hugo Lemus. Hugo wants to major in physical therapy and eventually open his very own business.   Hugo has a 3.79 g.p.a. And has plans next year to attend YVCC or Pacific University with big hopes to end up at Gonzaga.  Hugo is also involved in the Future Farmers of America Club, which has traveled to Wenatchee to compete.  Hugo also states that he enjoys being pushed to be the best at whatever he is doing.   More>>

This weeks Academic All-star is Ellensburg senior Nick Gigstead.  Nick has a 3.98 gpa and wants to study exercise science in college.  Nick is an outstanding student, and is described by all his teachers to be a very detailed hard worker, who gets all his assignments in.  Nick's teachers also describe him as a pleasure to have in class and an all around good person.  More>>

This week's Academic All-Star East valley senior Yasi Mohsenian.  Yasi is the team captain of our basketball team as well as the team captain in soccer.  Yasi has a 3.96 gpa. Her top choice for college is the University of Washington. Yasi wants to study Pharmacy.  Yasi is also involved in the National Honor Society, soccer, and track. This weeks Academic All-Star is Walla walla senior Kyle Jameson.  Kyle has a 4.0 gpa and takes classes in chemistry, physics, calculus and history.  Kyle likes programming, application development and software development. He wants to study computer science at either the University of Idaho or the Air Force Academy. Kyle is on the Air Rifle team that competes around the Pacific Northwest. More>>

Eisenhower senior Jacob Hino is a three- sport varsity athlete. He's also involved in his church youth group and boy scouts. Jacob decided to combine the two for his eagle scout project.   Jacob has a 3.57 gpa. Next year he's thinking about schools such as Washington or Washington state to study pre-med. He also has interest from western Washington track and field to poll vault. His options are open with a bright future ahead. " More>>

This week's Academic All-star is South Ridge senior Nicole Claver.  Nicole has a 3.6 gpa and takes 3 AP classes.  Her families' medical background inspires her to want to be an obstetrician.  Nicole also is a 4 yr varsity member of the gymnastics team and was a captain last year.

This week's academic all-star is Jamie White, our first soccer player of the season. She'll be kicking the competition to the curb with her smarts and her ambitious career goals. 

Something else Jamie White has to solve is managing her 4.0 GPA with soccer in the fall and track in the spring.  Jamie is the ASP secretary, in National Honors Society and is on the math team and academic team. Her college aspirations could take her as far as Boston.

Academic All-Star - Hailey Rankin

This weeks academic all-star is Hailey Rankin. The swim captain has already made three state qualifying times.

Hailey excels academically. She holds a 3.988 GPA and ranks 7th in her class of 198. Hailey serves as our team co-captain, and is an excellent leader. 

Hailey is looking at schools as close as Seattle University and as far as Kansas University. Her skills may get her an academic or athletic scholarship to either school.

Academic All-star - Sean Clausen

Sean Clausen is this weeks Academic All-Star. Clausen now takes AP statistics and advanced sports marketing and entreprenuership. 

Clausen is also a senior class treasurer and is still able to maintain a 3.6 GPA. His smarts and awareness on the football field help his line mates when they need him.

Sean wants to play football in college, but puts academics first. He wants to excel at computer sciences and later get a masters in business.

Academic All-Star - Veronica Bradley

Hanford Senior Veronica Bradley is a jumper. The triple jump is Bradley's favorite jump and she is so good at it that she broke the school record. She hopes one of her jumps gets her a state title. Bradley will jump at state in three events this weekend.

In the classroom, she has a 3.95 GPA and plans to get a bio engineering degree next year at UC San Diego.

Academic All-Star - Tyler Holle

This week's Academic All-Star is Kamiakin senior Tyler Holle.  Holle stays busy as a 3-sport athlete plus he isn't afraid of any class as he has a 3.92 GPA.  Holle played football and basketball but now he's head over heels into track.  He has qualified in three events for this weekend's regional track meet; from there he hopes to move onto state.  Holle heads to BYU next year where he hopes to walk onto the basketball team. Academic All-Star - Randy Fishman

This week's Academic All-Star is river view's Randy Fishman. Fishman is a captain for the Panthers in both football and baseball. Fishman spent the season right in the heart of the Panthers batting order hitting fourth or fifth. He hit 300.

In the classroom Fishman sports a 3.97 GPA and will head to Pullman next year.  He plans to become an orthopedic surgeon down the road.

And says she wants to use skills toward the film industry.  Stephanie Rexus has a 3.49 g.p.a. at Kamiakin.  Stephanie is considering colleges such as the University of Idaho, Eastern Washington and Gonzaga.  Stephanie's dad is a big influence.  Stephanie is the top runner with the girls. She says she enjoys having dad around the course and at home. "
