Tim Carter, from Mead High School, is the April 2011 Cricket Student Athlete of the Month.

As a senior post player for the Panthers' basketball team Carter describes himself as a scrappy player.

"All our effort all the time, I don't know if we've had a kid here at Mead play any harder than Tim plays," said head coach Glenn Williams, who also described him as the emotional leader of the team.

Carter boasts a 3.7 GPA and has figured out how to keep every aspect of his life in balance.
