LEXINGTON, Ore. - New information about a fatal plane crash near an airfield in Lexington, Oregon Wednesday night. There were two people in the plane, the pilot and a passenger. The pilot was killed in the crash, the passenger was able to crawl and walk to a nearby farmhouse. He was then airlifted to a hospital in Bend. The pilot was 65-year-old Stephen Dean Lunceford of Driggs, Idaho. The passenger is 37-year-old Jeffery Daniel Smock of San Francisco, California. The FAA and NTSB are at the scene of the crash investigating, no word on a cause yet. Lexington is about ten miles northwest of Heppner, Oregon.
