PASCO, WA-Franklin County's public works accounting director will appear in court later this afternoon.

Franklin County Prosecutor Shawn Sant says the judge will set bail for Dennis Huston, 64.

A spokesman for the state attorney general says a prosecutor from Seattle will arrive in the Tri-Cities Monday.

Pasco police arrested Huston Thursday and charged him with first degree theft, money laundering, and possession of controlled substances.

Eight other county employees remain on paid leave while investigators look into possible misuse of county funds.

County Commissioner Brad Peck says investigators discovered inconsistencies in the public works department during an internal audit last month.
