SPOKANE, Wash. -

The Reardan girls shot 40 percent from the floor Thursday morning to beat Bear Creek 49-24 in the opening game of the State 2B tournament in Spokane.

For Bear Creek, the goal was to contain the Indians' Kelsey Moos. They limited her to four points in the first half, but the rest of the team stepped up to pick up the slack. Chantel Health scored a game-high 13 points for the Indians, and Moos ended with 10 points and seven rebounds.

Madelyn Magee led the Grizzlies with 10 points.

The Indians' next game is Friday at 3:45 p.m.
