YAKIMA, Wash. -- There are hundreds of airplanes on display in Yakima, and it's all inside one building.
The McAllister Museum of Aviation off of 16th Avenue displays new and old airplanes.
It's free to the public and tours are available.
The museum which opened in the late 1990's is operated by all volunteers and is kept going via donations.
McAllister visitors come from all around the world.
"When you look at the sign-up sheet that we have or the guest log, it's really neat to see how many different places people come from and come to our museum here," explained Lynn Harden, curator for McAllister Museum.
McAllister Museum will be holding the Kids Fly for Free Eagles Day event on June 16th.
To sign-up for the June event, stop by the museum during their regular hours of operation. Seats are limited.
They are open Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
