KENNEWICK, Wash. -- After massive renovations to the flashcube building in Kennewick, HAPO Community Credit Union officially opened their new business complex Friday afternoon.
Members of the community and city leaders showed up for a ribbon cutting for the transformed building.
The most obvious changes on the outside include the addition of a large monitor and removal of the reflective windows traditionally seen on the flashcube building. The credit union's mortgage operation has also moved in.
"I can really speak to the changes. I worked for Tri-Cities Savings and Sterling Savings when both occupied this building. And when I walked in the other day and saw the finished product, it looks nothing like it did when these places occupied this building," explains Ron Hue of HAPO Community Credit Union.
While the credit union is celebrating the new building, work is still being done on the other floors to get ready for other tenants.
