Selah, WASH.--The city of Selah has been selected to be on a national television program.
It will appear as a 5-minute feature on the show called "A Day in America," hosted by Terry Bradshaw.
Producers thought Selah showcased the theme of the show, which is "live, work, play." The segment will highlight the city's growing business industry and recreational attractions like parks and public pools.
"We really are excited about this show airing," said Jeff Hagler, the Parks, Recreation and Tourism Director. "It'll be several months before it comes out, but we will know ahead of time. They'll send us the information when it's going to be aired, and we'll definitely broadcast that to the community so they can take a look."
The show will air on CNN news, the Discovery Channel and several other networks.
The city had to pay $24,800 in contract fees, but Hagler said he feels the end result will be worth it.
