YAKIMA, Wash.-- Hundreds of people in Yakima are enjoying the Fourth of July Carnival at State Fair Park.
The celebration includes rides, games, food, and live entertainment. It continues all evening, so you have plenty of time to head over and check out the festivities.
People we spoke with say they're enjoying the warm weather and all the attractions.
"Well if the entertainment's anything like it has been already... And it just started... This is gonna be awesome today," says Attendee Jim Statler.
"This is the first year we've been able to come back and spend time with the family here and join in the festivities," says Visitor Jorge Varrientos.
The carnival will continue until eleven tonight. Parking and admission are free.
The fireworks show later tonight will close some roads around the park. The I-82 eastbound and westbound ramps to Nob Hill will close between 9:45 and 11:30. On Highway 24, all westbound lanes coming into Yakima will also close, at the same time.
