Fever more prepared for United Bowl this time

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash. -- The Tri-Cities Fever have one advantage for the United Bowl they did not have last year. That is two games experience against this year's Sioux Falls Storm. Tri-Cities has a better grasp of the team it will face for the IFL championship. Still the Fever know the player experience from last year's United Bowl still sits with the Storm.

"I think what makes them the most deadly is their experience. I think they had 13 guys who played in this game last year. We have five. So you look a that and that's going to be something that's going to help them," Fever head coach Adam Shackleford said.

"Last year you got to hear the aura of Sioux Falls and not necessarily see it until you got there. They have a lot of glitz and glamour with their show. So you can kind of be intimidated by that or taken back, but this year, they're just a regular team," Fever wide receiver Steven Whitehead added.
