Railex warehousing Ste. Michelle wines at Wallula

WALLULA, Wash. (AP) - Railex Wine Services plans to build an $18 million expansion of its wine storage and distribution center near Wallula.

Ste. Michelle Wine Estates has signed a long-term lease for most of the warehouse. Ste. Michelle vice president Rob McKinney says its expertise is in growing grapes and making wine. He says the business has grown to a scale that requires a logistics provider to manage distribution.
