PENDLETON, Ore. The Umatilla County district attorney says prosecutors have been unable to reach a plea deal with a man accused of murder.       

Dan Primus says prosecutors met with George Craigen's lawyer three times in a week, but couldn't come to an agreement.

Primus wouldn't say what the state offered Craigen. 

Prosecutors say Craigen murdered Cecil Carter in late December at his plumbing business outside Milton-Freewater.
