Burn ban begins at noon for Kittitas County - NBC Right Now/KNDO/KNDU Tri-Cities, Yakima, WA |

The Kittitas County Fire Marshal at noon imposes a ban on open burning because of the high fire danger.

The burn ban includes Fire District 1, Fire District 3, Fire District 6, Fire District 7, Fire District 8, private land and campgrounds outside of the fire districts, and land controlled by the Department of Natural Resources.

The burn ban does not include areas within the boundaries of Kittitas Valley Fire and Rescue (Ellensburg area) and Fire District 4 (Vantage area).
