KENNEWICK, Wash.-- A car chase early Saturday morning led to the arrest of a recent Finley robbery suspect.
Just after 4am Saturday morning, Kennewick Police and Benton County Sheriff's deputies were searching the 4200 block of West Metaline after a burglary when they spotted a stolen vehicle and recognized one of the two passengers as the Finley store suspect.
Law enforcement then followed the vehicle in a high speed chase that ended on West Canal Drive in Kennewick.
"The pursuit was initiated based upon the information the officers had at that time that a burglary had just occurred. The vehicle was pursued through parts of Kennewick," says Corporal Glenn Ball from the Kennewick Police Department.
The chase ended when the driver lost control and struck a building on West Canal Drive.
The robbery suspect is a minor and was booked into the Benton County Juvenile Justice Center. The other passenger Robert Paxton, age 22, was also arrested.
