Major League Baseball approved the Yakima Bears deal with Hillsboro, Oregon. That is the final step the Bears needed to secure next year's move. The twenty-year deal gets the bears a $15 million new stadium. In return Hillsboro receives $150 thousand per year from the team, with a three percent increase each year.
Meanwhile Wednesday night the Bears lost to the Everett AquaSox, 6-2. Steven Rodriguez homered for Yakima in the fifth inning, but Everett responded with four runs. Everett added two more in the sixth. Jacob House also hit a solo home run for Yakima, but it was not enough for a comeback.
