MULTNOMAH FALLS, Ore. Search and rescue crews are looking for a man and his 6-year-old nephew who didn't show up after a day hike Thursday evening at Multnomah Falls.
Authorities say family members called police when the hikers failed to return.
Four Multnomah County search teams started hiking the trail early Friday looking for the pair.
Despite chilly overnight temperatures, rescuers say it wasn't dangerously cold for somebody without survival gear.
The trail is about six miles long and typically has a lot of hikers on it at the same time. It's considered a relatively easy trail, but searchers worry that the man and boy took a wrong turn at some point.
