Washington State kicks off the 2012 season with a bang on Thursday, traveling to Provo, Utah to play BYU on national television. Meanwhile in Pullman, work continues on the expansion at Martin Stadium.

The first home game for the Cougars is Sept. 8 against Eastern Washington. It will be the first time fans will see the $80 million renovation dubbed "The Cougar Football Project."

Inside the new luxury boxes at the stadium, fans will find ample seating but a focus on the WSU brand. Historic pictures of former player adorn the walls, with the crimson red color popping out of black and white images.

The grand opening ceremony for the new addition won't take place until the morning of gameday, Sept. 8.
