Former Gonzaga University baseball player, and current Spokane Indians outfielder, Royce Bolinger was named a Northwest League Postseason All-Star Thursday.
Bolinger, who was drafted in the sixth round this past June by the Texas Rangers, hit .304 this summer for the Indians. He was third in the NWL in hitting and seventh with 15 doubles. Most notably, Bolinger had a 23-game hitting streak that spanned from July 31 to Aug. 2.
The hitting streak was the longest in the NWL this season and fourth longest in Indians' history.
Last season for the Bulldogs, the Scottsdale, Ariz., native was an All-West Coast Conference first team selection and hit .392 with 11 home runs.
The Spokane Indians are currently playing in a season-ending five-game series with the Eugene Emeralds.
