Yakima, WASH.--Saturday night the Yakima Bears will play their last regular home game ever at the stadium in Yakima.
After this year, the team will move to Hillsboro, Oregon.
Staff members said the team has been playing in Yakima for 23 years, but they haven't built a big enough fan base and they've been struggling.
"Teams attendance has been quite low for some time," said John Hadden, the Director of Media Relations for the Yakima Bears. "Right now we're easily the last place team in attendance in this league, and the ownership hasn't been able to turn a profit in over a decade here in Yakima."
For their last regular home game, the Yakima Bears will host "Fan Appreciation Night."
There will be free parking, fireworks, and the first 500 fans are going to get a free logo baseball.
