PULLMAN, Wash. -

Washington State plans to re-Tuel in time for its home opener this Saturday at Martin Stadium – the first game at the stadium since its offseason renovation.

Jeff Tuel is listed as the starting quarterback for Saturday's game against Eastern Washington. He was intercepted twice in a 30-6 season-opening loss to BYU last Thursday. But now the senior is ready to bounce back in Pullman.

"We're a young team and it's easy if you get in a hole to just kind of get upset and get your body language down and throw in the towel," said Tuel. "But as Coach Leach has told us: ‘if you think that all the games I've won we were never behind, you're crazy.' Things don't go your way every single down. That's just how football is."

Tuel said, yes, they are 0-1. But it is not the end of the world nor catastrophic.

"We're going to come back next week and play our tails off."

The game, at noon (PT) will be on Pac-12 Network.
