Tieton, WASH--A man interrupted a burglary early Friday morning, and ended up getting shot at.
The homeowner said this is the second time this week his house on Potter Road in Tieton has been broken into. He said the burglars did not take anything valuable, but they did do some damage.
They broke both doors and completely ransacked his house.
Around 10 a.m. Friday, the homeowners brother noticed an unfamiliar car in the driveway. Yakima County Sheriff's Deputies said when the brother pulled in to the driveway, two young men around 20 years-old, ran out of the house and a nearby camper.
They jumped in a car and took off southbound down Potter Road, but not before firing shots at the brother.
"We have a couple of deputies in the outlying, surrounding areas, and thinking that there's a possibility that they'll come out of the orchard here when they feel a little safe," said Deputy Dan Cypher of the Yakima County Sheriff's Office.
Sheriff's deputies said the brother is fine. He was not hit by any gunfire.
Deputies have been searching the area for the suspects, but have not located them yet.
They said the suspects were driving a silver colored Toyota type sedan.
The witness told sheriff's deputies one of the men is Hispanic, but did not have a description for the other one.
