Union Gap, WASH.--Kohl's announced a new partnership with Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital and the Yakima Youth Soccer Association Saturday.
The Kohl's Cares program gave the Memorial Foundation a $10,000 grant.
The money will go towards hosting education sessions which will inform parents, players and coaches about injury prevention and overall healthy behavior.
Kohl's Store Manager Andrew Proctor said, "I'm a father of five and so having my kids active is very important to me and being a part of the community that we live in is important as well, to offer those benefits to children.
The goal for this program is to reach over 1,000 boys and girls between the ages of five and seven.
