WALLA WALLA, Wash. -- The Jonathan M. Wainwright Memorial VA Medical Center put on it's first ever "Welcome Home Event" Friday. The idea is to help veterans get readjusted back to civilian life.
Local Veterans Veteran Service Organizations were on hand to work with and help Veterans, along with the local WorkSource office, and other businesses, employers, and agencies with information to help our Veterans. Even a mobile Vet Center van that usually travels to rural areas was on site to offer additional services and information There will be food, music, and activities and crafts for children.
They had staff on hand to help with issues like:

Veterans were also treated to a free lunch courtesy of Athena Christian Church Cooking Club.
