SPOKANE, Wash. -

The road-weary Whitworth Pirates have finally dropped anchor in Spokane. They play at home in the Pine Bowl this weekend for the first time this season.

The Pirates went a perfect 3-0 on the road, with wins at Duluth, Minn., and in Southern California. But the Buc stops here. Now it is time to face Chapman after a bit of home cooking in Spokane.

"We'd like to keep the momentum going, and they would too," said coach John Tully. "[Chapman] is undefeated coming into this thing, but we're at home and it's our first game at home. We'd like to do a good showing."

"3-0 is great, but you always have to get to that next step," said defensive end Aaron Cochran.

Saturday's game at the Pine Bowl will be televised live on SWX. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
