YAKIMA, Wash.-- Workers at the Central Washington State Fair are making some final adjustments to the rides before the fair opens Friday.
However you may be wondering how they make sure the rides are safe.
Butler Amusements operates the rides at the fair. They say their crews check back over their work as they put up the rides. Supervisors also look for any faults or problems.
All rides are also checked daily during the fair and the company says their workers are experts on each ride.
"This help has been with us for a very long time. So, the ride that they're working on is pretty much their baby. They know if something isn't fitting properly compared to the last time or the time before," says Jim Hall with Butler Amusements.
Hall says they also bring in an official state inspector to certify their work.
The fair starts up Friday at noon and continues until the end of the month.
