KENNEWICK, Wash.-- The Let's Get Ready Early Learning Fair happened Saturday at the Kennewick branch of the Mid Columbia Libraries.
Local organizations shared resources and ways to help prepare children for school. Hands on activities, like playing with shapes and toys can help children develop early learning skills. Health tips and activities that can be replicated at home were also shared with the fair-goers.
"All these other organizations that are there to help support them get their kids ready for school. I think a lot of parents have a child and they feel like they're kind of on their own. There are a lot of places that are there to help them," says Sarah Johnson, Mid-Columbia Libraries.
The Benton-Franklin Early Learning Alliance facilitated the event. They provide many services and information to help local children excel at a young age.
