Pasco Youth Football raises money for two teammates battling tumors

PASCO, Wash.-- The Pasco Youth Football league is coming together to support two fellow players that both have tumors.

A silent auction, raffle and bake sale was held during football games today at Highland Park in Pasco. It raised money for the boys' travel expenses to hospitals.

One of the boys is getting care at Seattle's Children's Hospital. The other boy is going to a California hospital.

After only two weekends, they've raised nearly eleven thousand dollars.

"It shows what this community is really about when something happens to a community member. Where they can come through and donate . Donate their time, donate money, donate items to take care of the families," says Eric Wyatt, auction coordinator.

All the concession sales at the football games are also going to the help the boys' families.

If you'd like to help you can go to the Highland Park playfields between 8am and 1pm on Saturdays to donate money or buy items. You can also visit the Pasco Youth Football Facebook for more information.
