PULLMAN, Wash. -

While Cougar fans may still be agonizing over the loss to Colorado on Saturday, the team said Monday they are ready to put the sting behind them and move on to the next game.

What other option do they have?

Washington State gave up 21 points in the fourth quarter to Colorado, essentially handing the Buffaloes the win. Two days later, the team said the meltdown is a thing of the past.

"After [Sunday], I think that game has to be flushed, and I think it has been for everybody in the locker room," said quarterback Connor Halliday. "I think everybody is pretty excited."

"Emotions give you energy and you play better when you have all that energy in you," said defensive lineman Travis Long. "I think we kind of fell flat sometimes in the last game, and that was our issue. That's something we gotta practice."

The Cougars now go from playing arguably the worst team in the Pa-12, to possibly the best. They play Oregon on Saturday at CenturyLink Field in Seattle. The game, at 7:30 p.m. (PT), will be on ESPN2.
