KENNEWICK, Wash. -- Police arrested a trio of teens after an unusual burglary at a Kennewick hair salon. Officers stopped a group of teens walking near 6th Ave and Rainer in Kennewick in the middle of the night, and noticed one of the young men had a big gash on his leg.
Police ran his name and realized he also had an outstanding warrant. After taking the teen to a hospital, and the juvenile detention center, police got a call from the owner of the Head Shop, a hair salon on Kennewick Avenue.
The owner said someone bashed the front door with a rock and stole cash from the register. "He put two and two together. He went back to the juvenile detention facility, interviewed the kid and he gave it up that yeah, he kicked in the door and that's how he cut his leg," says Sgt. Ken Lattin with Kennewick Police.
Employees at the Head Shop had some cleaning up to do. ""There was glass all over, $200 missing from the till, and everything else in place," says Michelle Diaz a stylist.
Police managed to arrest two other boys linked to the burglary and are looking for one more suspect. They range between 15 and 17 years old.
