RICHLAND, Wash.-- The City of Richland had a fair Saturday for the community to learn a little more about them.
It happened in the city hall parking lot and offered interactive displays from many of the city's departments. People could sit inside a police car, touch SWAT team gear and see how a bomb squad robot works.
"It's a showcase. It let's people know that there are people that work behind the scenes to get things done that makes their city a nice place to live," says Bob Stelmack, Richland Police Department Volunteer.
Some of the other things people could learn about at the event were electrical safety, recycling and composting.
