KENNEWICK, Wash. - To continue "Pink Week" support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, students in Kennewick are holding a movie night.
Wednesday during the day, Kennewick High School students dressed in their pink pajamas to get in the spirit, and tonight at 6 in the east gym, the public is invited to watch the PG-13 movie "the avengers."
Students will collect donations and sell wristbands and concessions, with all the proceeds supporting the Tri-Cities Cancer Center.
"You can donate contribute to your community in a fun way, and this is an example of that," Ericka Moreno, a student body officer says, "It's a fun event, it's a movie night, you're with your friends, you can be with your family, you can have food and just a good time for a couple hours, but you're also contributing and helping out your community."
If you go, student organizers say bring a pillow or something comfortable to sit on as seating is on the floor.
The movie night's suggested donation is $2, it starts at 6 PM on October 3rd, at Kennewick High School's East Gym.
