PASCO, Wash. - Columbia Basin College took advantage of last night's Presidential Debate by celebrating Constitution Day today. The event featured a lecture on immigration and the constitution followed by quizzes. It also gave students the opportunity register to vote in the upcoming election.
"I just recently turned 18 and was watching the debates yesterday and I just wanted to come support and vote for who I thought is the next president," said Aaron Ross, CBC student.
CBC will also host local political debates tonight. Candidates for State Representative in the 16th district and candidates for two Franklin County Commissioner positions will speak. Debates begin at 6:30pm in the Gjerde Center .
