Union Gap, WASH.--One of the oldest businesses in Yakima is celebrating its 65th year Friday night.
Skateland Fun Center will have an open house starting at 5:30 p.m.
People can take tours and learn about the history of the facility.
It was first established in the Tri-Cities before World War II. Then in 1948, the Eisenzimmer family moved the business to its current location in Union Gap.
"We think we're in a great community," said Kim Eisenzimmer, the owner of Skateland. "We work very hard at keeping our business family oriented and just offering good clean entertainment."
Competitive skaters will be at Friday's celebration, and the event will feature disco music.
To celebrate 65-years in the business, Skateland will be adding a commercial kitchen.
