KENNEWICK, Wash. - A man is in jail after a brief stand off with police at a Kennewick apartment complex.
Kennewick Police, Richland Police and Benton County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a domestic dispute at the Highlander Apartments Monday morning.
Kennewick Police say 27-year-old Carl Allstott had been fighting with his girlfriend, and then went to his friend's apartment at the same complex.
Police say when officers arrived, the man refused to come out. "He did say he did have a weapon, said Kennewick Police Sergeant, Ken Lattin, "so we did take precautions. We made sure we alerted neighbors, they had the option, they could stay or they could evacuate if they wanted to at that point."
Officers arrested and booked Allstott into the Benton County Jail for domestic violence, resisting arrest, and on two outstanding warrants.
