ELLENSBURG, Wash. -- Homecoming never seemed so true. Saturday Central Washington University football will play its first real home game of the season at Tomlinson Stadium. Poor air quality kept the Wildcats out of Ellensburg for the first two scheduled home games.
"Well homecoming is always a big day for CWU. We have a huge alumni base in the state of Washington. A lot of them on the west side, but everybody tends to come to campus for homecoming. It's an nice tradition. We get a great crowd. We anticipate having excellent weather. We'll get that air quality down where we can play at home," head coach Blaine Bennett said.
Saturday's homecoming game is against GNAC foe Simon Fraser.
