Detectives need help identifying body

MATTAWA, Wash.-- Grant County Sheriff's detectives are asking for the publics help in identifying a homicide victim.

Detectives say the body was found near the 22,000 block of Road 26 Southwest, just outside Mattawa, yesterday.

The Sheriff's Office says is appears the person died from gunshot wounds, but they're still not sure of their gender.

"It appears that the body head been there fairly recent, so that's why we're asking friends and relatives or anybody in the area that are missing any loved ones to give us a call," said Chief Dep. Ryan Rectenwald.
