Leach Changes Faces At Quarterback

SWXRIGHTNOW.COM – Washington State Head Coach Mike Leach has changed up his field general, hoping it will help the Cougars turn their season around.

After Connor Halliday, who has started the last five games for the Cougars, threw two interceptions in the first quarter against Cal this past weekend, Leach decided it was time to mix things up. He chose to put Jeff Tuel into the game, and Tuel proceeded to throw for 320 yards and two touchdowns.

Leach, who earlier this week blasted his receivers for dropping balls in the game against Cal, hopes that Tuel will be able to light a fire under his team. WSU has a bye this weekend, and then heads to Stanford to face the number 22 ranked Cardinal.
